I have never believed that I paint landscapes. I believe I paint portraits of daimons that manifest themselves as cacti—ancient guardians that quietly watch over the beauty and timelessness of the desert. Their blossoms are not merely flowers, but expressions of hope, renewal, and the hidden vitality that thrives beneath the surface.
In Lush Life, the luminous blossoms emerge from sculptural forms bathed in light, inviting us to reconsider what true abundance looks like. The painting suggests that the richest places are often those that demand patience, attention, and reverence before revealing their gifts.
